Technically, light is just just matter in an excited state. It works in waves and depending on how little gaps or spaces there are between each wave - you could go from radio to microwave to infared to VISIBLE! Maybe as a technique for flaring we could have the user imagine that the energy in his hands starts vibrating faster and faster and faster till he/she can see it! Any thoughts?
