Telling Your Friends About Psionics
Now, this may not be new to most experienced psions, but to me and a few other people I have met, telling our friends about psionics can be difficult. Here are some ways to make it easier.
Talk to them one-on-one.
It is best not to talk to your friend about psionics in a big crowd of people that will eavesdrop on you. Nor is it good to talk about psionics in a room of quiet people who will overhear you. If you don't want to keep the fact that you’re a psion a secret, then I pretty sure you don't need this article, but read it anyway If you are out in public, use a code, especially if you are talking with another psion. It can be fun, and rather interesting what you can come up with. Stolide posted(original post below) a code he uses with psions he knows.
Start With A Similar Topic
Start with a similar topic, such as ghosts, or a movie you saw about psychic abilities. Then, move on to the question “Do you believe in psychic abilities?” If they say yes, start telling them, slowly, about stuff you have heard about it and then go on to how you have practiced and trained, and if you can, show them something you have learned, such as telekinesis, or telepathy, or make a psi-ball do something they will be able to notice.
Show Them Something
Another way to tell your friends about psionics is to make something happen to them. To clarify, here is an example from Aurafire, a member of this forum.
An easy way to make them believe or get their attention is to cause them some pain without touching them(physically). Make a psi-ball that causes pain whenever it passes through him/her. This will eliminate some side-effects, too.
Side-Effects
If you go to fast and sound obsessive, and feel like that could pull out the pepper spray any second, you may experience some side effects.
· They think your crazy
· They will stop hanging around you
· They will immediately spread your “claims” throughout the school and/or office, shunning you.
If you are telling a good friend, these side effects could be replaced by:
· They will still accept you, and forget you ever mentioned it.
· They will get nervous when you mention something that will make them remember you conversation
This may all seem bad, but there is not much you can do without making yourself look crazy. If you do experience these side effects, don’t fight back. Just accept it and soon everyone will forget it. If they start picking on you, ignore it completely and they will soon leave you alone. Don’t try to assassinate them with a psi-ball J

Also I use code words while in public so that other psions(at least in my town) know what I'm talking about and no one else does.
19: psi
29: psion
39: other form of energy
49: Nonbeliever
59: Idiot
69: construct
So you see... With this set of code words, I can talk about it realitivly safely in public.

I swirled some psi around into my friend's hand and he was like "AH I can't move my wrist!!" he was all like "dude what did you do?". There was a girl that was Wiccan and wanted to see if she could get a better "push" with psi, when we put our hands close together. she called it a "psi war", I don't know really what to call that. We started doing it and after like 20 seconds I shocked her, and the hairs on her arms stood up.
